Moyra Davey: Sneak Peek at Conveyor Magazine, The Alchemy Issue

Moyra Davey began Copperheads, her images of Abraham Lincoln’s profile as engraved on US pennies, as an investigation into the psychology of money. This investigation is analogous to chrysopoeia; the camera acts of a type of philosopher’s stone, transmuting a base metal into something more meaningful and enduring.

If your work fits in with the idea of Alchemy, please send us your work, we’d love to consider it for the next issue of Conveyor Magazine.
